Accommodations

Estancia del Zorro is a restored ranch house featuring 12 comfortable guest rooms for up to 12 guests. Each room has two king-sized beds, private baths, and balconies with incredible views stretching across the ranch and spring creek. The lodge’s welcoming great room is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy cocktails while replaying the days fishing with new friends. Estancia del Zorro is a working Chilean estancia and our guests enjoy this unique cultural experience along with their exclusive access to private and secluded waters.

Fishing Program

With two private rivers, a spring creek fifteen miles long, the fishing at Estancia del Zorro is varied and the trout are plentiful. Guides will take clients throughout the estancia’s hills, canyons, forests, pampas, and mountains to reach the best waters for any given daily conditions. Brown trout up to 10 pounds cruise in the spring creek, so if you love intimate waters and skillful spring creek fishing, this fishing program fits the bill perfectly. For anglers desiring to fish on larger waters, guides will float the Rio Simpson. Most visiting angler’s itineraries include fishing for resident brown trout in the estancia’s private waters, a short drive to fish nearby waters on an Argentine estancia across the border, and time on the beautiful and productive Rio Simpson.

Food and Wine

The exceptional food at Estancia del Zorro is plentiful, regional, and delicious. Made with regional ingredients, including beef raised on the estancia itself, the evening meal is enjoyed in the large great room. The menu includes beef, lamb, fish from Chilean fjords, and estancia-raised chicken, along with fresh morels, peppers and herbs from the estancia’s gardens, and wonderful local produce. Chile and Argentina are known for their great wines and many bottles from local boutique wineries are available at the lodge and served with the fantastic meals.
